The decision on whether to wear yoga sandals in class has to be made by you. It is probably fair to say that most people prefer not to wear footwear. However, a few do like to wear something on their feet. If you are in a dilemma and can’t make your mind up you could always start out barefoot and then get some sandals later. Being balanced is very important in almost all the poses, therefore your feet need to be placed firmly on the ground or yoga mat.

You can get Yoga sandals and a variety of colors and black seems to be the most popular. Although some individuals really like wearing yoga sandals, but not in class.

Yoga sandals are unlike other types of footwear that are designed for martial arts. These sandals are unlike normal sandals because they have four supports to put your toes into. They certainly help keep your balance and not put all of your weight on the bones of your feet. They stop your toes from curling up which encourages you’re feet to spread which helps balance and circulation.

Yoga sandals actually help you become fit and healthy, because of their flexibility and in the way they are designed they allow your body to become physically aligned when walking. You might be interested know that Beech Sandal Company of Australia holds the trademark for this type of sandal.

There are many stores that are offering eco-friendly products such as yoga sandals and other holistic products.
