For those of you that do yoga, do you really see a difference? And what do you notice that has improved physically, mentally, or spiritually?
Remember when Kevin Costner started hearing voices in the Field of Dreams movie? While his family was struggling to make ends meet, these voices were saying, ‘If you build it they will come.’ Eventually it came to pass that he thought these inner voices were telling him to build a baseball field. This inner voice was his subconscious mind talking.
This subconscious mind power,has the ability to shape your future. It’s a beautiful thing, the power of the fully harnessed mind. It has the power to heal, to transcend, to connect us to other people in the world, even to shape our futures. It’s a beautiful thing that very few people see realized to their full potential.
Sceptical, probably, allow me to give you a few examples of subconscious mind power at work. One of my favorite examples to give is scientific, medically actually. This example is offered because the results have been documented time and time again. It is the Placebo Effect. Most commonly this term is used when medication trials are taking place. You have the control group, which are given a sugar pill (or placebo) and then the study group who get the actual med. Both groups are told what the medication is for and what it should do for them. Neither group knows if they are getting the actual medication or the placebo.
This example � the placebo control � is something that’s used repeatedly in all drug tests, and it’s something that scientists have to correct for in their data gathering. Placebo effects usually aren’t as strong, and they aren’t reliable; you can’t predict which person will react to a placebo and which needs the full drug before testing, but it’s still a valid medical testing concern.
Think about this. When you go to the doctor and you are prescribed a new medication does the doctor tell you the side effects? If your doctor does then he/she is a rarity. You could be thinking that they are not doing their job. Actually they are. They know how powerful the mind is. They know that if they suggest that negative things could happen that you will either not take the medication or you will take it and get the side effects no matter how rare.
Unfortunately, it has taken us far longer to reach this understanding then it should have throughout history. It was used thousands of years ago by ancient religions and then realized years later. Once we figured out that the power of suggestion combined with subconscious mind power could change anyone’s life, it was much easier to train the mind.
While focusing on your positive thoughts of the inner mind is a good approach, others tend to take a different route. In today’s world it seems that most people turn to using visualization to alter the way their mind sees things. This is can either be done by closing your eyes and picturing it, or see it in the flesh.
Another way, and this is often used in conjunction with the first technique, is to create a physical picture. Let’s say that what you want is a new car, find a picture of the car you want� better yet, go get a picture taken of you with the car. Hang that picture up where you can see it every day; the more you see it, the more the vision is imprinted in your mind� your subconscious mind the more power it has. The subconscious mind power that you have will make that vision a reality.
While this practice has been known in self help books for centuries, it’s only recently that an attempt at a scientific basis has been built for this.
The prevailing view is that quantum effects are being manipulated by the observer effect. Some call it an energy field, but it’s more accurately described as the fact that if you observe a quantum effect, you are limited in the information you can retrieve from it. Wave forms collapse and probabilities realign.
So matter/energy only exists because it is being observed; in other words it is the mind which is responsible for the matter existing – not the other way around. All matter and hence all reality has been proven to be a creation of our mind. This is the true meaning of ‘subconscious mind power’!
This idea that reality is shaped by our perceptions of it is the fundamental precept of Eight Way Buddhism, where the goal is to achieve enlightenment by giving up all wants, and all negative focuses. Sound familiar? Whether you come to the Law of Attraction through popularizations of quantum mechanics or religion, it’s still a powerful effect to harness.
So if you could change your life just by thinking about it, wouldn’t you? All you have to do is harness your subconscious mind power. Use it to your advantage instead of letting it control you. Spend the next week using affirmations or visualization techniques to acquire what you want. Make it something small at first and when you see that it works make yourself a new life by developing your subconscious mind power.
I think this question has been outstanding since yoga was invented. Many, many centuries ago.
What exactly is meant by the term ‘manifesting abundance’? In all likelihood you’ve probably heard many people say that life is what you make of it. Perhaps your own parents told you that on several occasions when they were trying to boost your confidence. In fact, even that voice inside our heads tells us that this is indeed true. Unfortunately however, there are just so many people out there who simply refuse to take any notice of what that voice is trying to tell them, and as such, they only have themselves to blame if they’re not happy with their life.
Somewhere, at some point long ago someone tried to tell you that you were the master of your own destiny, that you could do anything you put your mind to. The ability to manifest abundance is in you and only you can control the process of manifesting in your life.
Face the facts, the reason that your life is less than perfect for you right now, is because that is the way you want it. That’s right, the miserable marriage, the lack of success at work, the missed promotion, the clunker of a car… you wanted it all, and you’ve got it. You are the one that is responsible for manifesting everything in your life… and therefore only you can change it.
�Think and believe that you have plenty of money. You have to consciously pay attention to your thoughts. You don�t want to slip and let the old thoughts sneak in. If you want to manifest abundance, you have to think that you already have everything you want in your life. Like attracts like, which means if you are focusing on the good it is going to bring more good in your life. You can improve your life, you can have the life you want� you and only you can manifest abundance in your life.
Most people fail to realize the power of their thoughts. Your thoughts are the most powerful things you have. It is the way that you think, the things you focus energy on that manifest into your life. Each and every moment you have thought about how little money you have, you have perpetuated not having money. If you are thinking about all the ways your partner fails you… you are going to see that your partner is going to fail you more.
To change these things you have to change what you are thinking about. The essential component to manifesting abundance is positive thought. Right now, you have to start focusing on the good things in your life, the good things in your relationships. Take a moment and realize just how lucky you are, how fortunate. You woke up today, you are living in a warm place, and there is food in your belly and clothes on your back. Be grateful for all of these things. Next to positive thought, gratefulness is just as vital. If you can’t appreciate what you have, how can you ever have more?
Stop blaming others for your life. Your life is the harsh reality that you created, because of the way you think. You spend your time thinking about how much money you don’t have, and how unhappy you are… you will continue to have no money or happiness.
Do yourself a favor and try one of these experiments so that you can see for yourself how changing the way you think can effectively change your life. First of all, you need to immediately stop thinking about how much money you would like to have, and you need to stop worrying about your debts. This is something you need to start doing immediately. From this moment on you need to think about how much money you already have, and you need to think about the fact that you have been more money to pay for everything you have.
Consciously pay attention to your thoughts. It gets easier in time, but you don’t want to slip up and end up back in a less then desirable place. Appreciate what you have, the money you have and that you are happy. If you want to have an abundant life, then you need to think that you have already manifested abundance.
Like attracts like, which means if you are focusing on the good it is going to bring more good in your life. You can improve your life, you can have the life you want… you and only you can manifest abundance in your life.
